Unified System for Soil Survey and Soil Conservation Department of Kerala

SLIS — the Soil Laboratory Information System — is a centralised, web-based platform that standardises and digitizes the complete operational workflow of all soil testing laboratories functioning under the Department of Soil Survey and Soil Conservation, Government of Kerala.

About the Platform

What is SLIS?

The Soil Laboratory Information System (SLIS) is a centralised digital platform that connects all seven soil testing laboratories under SSSCD, Government of Kerala, into a single, unified operational system.

Before SLIS, each laboratory operated independently with manual registers and paper-based records. SLIS replaces this with a standardised, end-to-end digital system — from sample arrival to final report delivery.

Developed by ICFOSS using Free and Open Source Software, SLIS ensures transparency, traceability, and real-time monitoring across all laboratories.

State-wide Coverage
All 7 labs from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod on one platform
Standardised Testing
Uniform workflows, predefined equations, automated result computation
Real-time Monitoring
PSC dashboard with live workload, capacity and performance tracking
Seamless Reports
Real-time and automated report generation for simple operations
Platform Features

Everything inside one system.

SLIS is the central hub — each module is a core capability that keeps Kerala's soil laboratories running efficiently.
